Does anyone know what Korean soup matches this description?
Hi! My husband and I lived in Korea for a year because of his work and we went on the DMZ tour. For lunch they served this absolutely amazing soup and I would love to know what it was called. This is it's description based on what we can remember about it:
It was a beef broth based soup. The consistency was thinner, not at all stew-like, and it had a moderate amount of stuff added to it. The flavor was deliciously sweet and very "beefy". The meat was thin sliced, not chunks. It had angel hair rice noodles, bean sprouts (?), cabbage (?), and various other vegetables. It was served extremely hot (temperature wise) and in heavy cast iron pre heated bowls.
Sorry for the weak description but it's been about a year and a half since we had it. The main flavor sensations were definitely sweet and beefy though. If anyone could shed any light on this, it would be greatly appreciated! The craving has been in the back of my head for ages, haha
